Wow. We're half-way through January already. Time flies! And despite the fact we've been quiet, we haven't been still.
For a start, there's the existing news today from the Football Writers' Festival, which we're co-convening with the Johnny Warren Football Foundation, on 23-24 March at Jamberoo Pub.
In case you missed it, we announced a 'marquee signing' for the Festival - none other than World Cup champion and two times Olympic Games Gold Medallist, Hope Solo.
Hope will be at the Festival to talk about her career, what she sees as the big issues in football, and to talk about the future of women's football as well as her own future in football. She will also take part in a panel discussion on how we get more women's football stories told, and how to get more women writers.
There's also a host of other terrific speakers too, drawn from major media groups, online journalists and writers, authors and administrators with a keen interest in the science and art of football writing in all its forms.
Whatever you do, don't miss out on the inaugural Football Writers' Festival. It's an amazing program, and if you love, football and ideas, you'll kick yourself if you miss it.
The entry cost is just $10 for one day or $15 for two days. All other costs, such as lunch and the dinner and trivia night are at your own cost.
